Rubber or plastic gloves recommended for sensitive individuals. Not recommended for drinking water applications. 1. Use the Anchor-Tite Patch in a well-ventilated area. Keep the Patch in the black, UV-protected package until you are ready to do a repair. 2. Clean parts to be repaired with soap & water and allow to dry completely. Roughen surface with wire brush or sandpaper. 3. While still in the black UV-protected package, cut the patch material to extend ¾” beyond the repair area using scissors or knife. Remove the white backing and apply cut Patch over repair and press firmly in place. Store unused portion away from sunlight or UV sources. If outside surface is to be painted or finished, remove clear nylon film prior to cure. 4. Expose the bonded Patch to UV sunlight, black lamp or other UV sources until the product is hardened (see approximate times above). 5. After the product is hard and fully cured, it can be drilled, sanded or painted. 6. Wash hands and skin well with soap and water after use. STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE Store product sealed in the original black UV-protected package in a cool (<75F), dry location away from UV sources or sunlight. Note: when thick layers are required it is better to apply a number of thin coats. Allow curing for 3 hours before handling. Full cure in 24 hours. Notes: Solvents may evaporate from bottle or tube if left open for prolonged periods. Not recommended for Teflon, Polyethylene or Polypropylene bonding. Avoid constant submergence in water and exposure to extremely high temperatures after cure. Storage: Store in a cool area away from sunlight or heat. Application Process between 5 °C and 40 °C; reactivity and handling change with temperature and humidity. Optimum substrate and product temperature is 15 – 25 °C. Apply with hand, pneumatic, or electric piston guns, or suitable pump equipment. Tooling & Finishing Tool within the skin time. Recommended finishing agent: Sika® Tooling Agent N (test any alternative agent for suitability).     Is a hard setting, thick silver-grey metallic filler, suitable for use with most metals and alloys. Features -Repairs and fills -Sets hard -Resists boiling water -Chemical resistant – resists oil and petrol – ideal for engines (but ensure thoroughly hardened before returning petrol to tank) -Can be sanded and filed for a perfectly smooth finish -Resistant to water and to hydrocarbon solvents and oils (such as petrol and cooking oils) -Heat resistant to 100°C -Can be painted Where can this product be used? -Repairs leaks in household utensils, e.g. kettles, holes and cracks in car radiators, pipes etc. -Metallic Fix may be used to repair holes in petrol tanks if thoroughly hardened before petrol is returned to tank. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. How to Use AS AN ADHESIVE: Apply a bead or small blobs on surface. Assemble parts together and clamp firmly to hold until cured. Remove excess immediately. Initial bond achieved in 24 hours depending on temperature and humidity. Bond strength increases over a few days. AS A SEALANT: Extrude sealant into the joint ensuring full contact with the sides of joint. Avoid entrapment of air. Smooth sealant with spatula forcing it into the joint. For best performance, install joint backing rod (polyethylene or polyurethane foam rod) in the joint to control depth and ensure joint movement. Suitable for +/- 25% joint movement. Complies with ISO11600/F/25HM. Limitations: *Will not adhere to PE, PP or PTFE–test other plastics and rubber first. ^To maximise durability in outdoor applications paint with a suitable exterior paint.     Selleys Fibreglass Fix Repair Kit is a complete kit containing polyester resin, a hardener and fibreglass mat, for repairs to fibreglass and a variety of other surfaces. Where can this product be used? Fibreglass Plywood Metal Fibro Sheeting Most Plastics How to use this product Wear rubber or plastic gloves when handling fibreglass Surface Preparation Surfaces should be clean and dry and free from paint, grease and rust. Cut the fibreglass mat to shape, allowing approximately 3cm overlap all round. Tease out the fibres along the edge of the mat to give a feathered edge. For wide holes, glue a piece of cardboard to the back of the hole to form a base. Mixing: For each tablespoon of resin, squeeze 5 drops of hardener from the small tube and mix together thoroughly. Do not prepare the mixture until required as only a limited time (20 minutes at 20°C) is available before the product gels. Application Position the mat and apply resin/hardener mixture with a clean, dry brush. Be sure to impregnate the mat completely, working out all air bubbles. Add more mat and resin/hardener mixture to build up or contour the patch as required. Finishing When the patch has completely hardened, (approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the temperature), it can be sanded to a smooth finish. Fill imperfections with more resin. Paint if required. Clean up product with Solvent Acetone before it cures Handy tips At higher temperatures, the working time decreases. Can only be tinted with iron oxide or other dry pigments .which must be mixed in very thoroughly. Surfaces to be joined should be clean and dry. If recommended amounts of hardener are not used, cure time will vary or an incomplete cure may result. A useful solvent to clean up epoxy and polyester resins BEFORE they are cured can be prepared by mixing 2 parts toluene with 1 part alcohol (eg methylated spirits or denatured alcohol). In large amounts, heat can be generated during cure. Care should be taken on heat-sensitive surfaces with large amounts. Use recommended levels of hardener and resin; variation may result in incomplete cure and variations in cure time. Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup.     D-MASTIC is an oil-based sealant that forms a skin on exposure to air but remains soft underneath. Designed for sealing windscreens in cars, boats, trucks, and buses, and for metal lap joints in white goods, caravans, bus and truck bodies. Features Forms a surface skin, preventing transfer by touch and dirt pick-up on exposed surfaces Paintable with most alkyd and water-based paints (after the skin has formed). Easy clean-up off non-porous surfaces with mineral turpentine. Convenient to use non-slumping from vertical joints and easily extrudable. Long "open" time assists in the assembly of lap joints. If sealing lap joints, apply suitable size bead of D-Mastic to one surface through the intended fasten line. Bring surfaces together squeezing the mastic bead out on both surfaces and mechanically fix join where necessary. If sealing open joints, apply D-Mastic forcing it into the joint ahead of the nozzle. This method aids in properly filling the joint and forcing mastic to wet on to the sides of the joint. If required, smooth surface with spatula dipped into mineral turps or kerosene.  Limitations: Not an elastomeric compound, it should not be used in joints subject to considerable dynamic movement. Maximum service is achieved when used within joints; it is not recommended to be used as a"skim" coating over joints. Not recommended for use in joints required to resist static air or water pressure.  If sealing lap joints, apply suitable size bead of D-Mastic to one surface through the intended fasten line.  Bring surfaces together squeezing the mastic bead out on both surfaces and mechanically fix join where necessary.     Selleys Butyl Mastic is a synthetic resin, butyl rubber based mastic which forms a smooth tough skin, but remains permanently plastic underneath. It is available Off White.
