Surfaces should be clean and dry, free from oil and grease. 2. Roughen surfaces with emery cloth or sandpaper for best results. 3. Dispense from container following package directions & mix thoroughly approximately 1 minute. Use package blister or clean cardboard for mixing container, do not use metal. 4. Apply to both surfaces and mate parts together. 5. Remove excess epoxy immediately with denatured alcohol. 6. Sets in 4-6 minutes at room temperature (77F / 25C) with full cure in 24 hours. Helpful Hints: To colour Epoxy Gel, do test sample using mixed epoxy with added small amounts of colourant, such as paint (latex or oil), stain or tint. Mix well & apply to scrap piece of wood. Let dry to compare the final colour to the color of repair item. Keep testing until a colour match is achieved, then mix the appropriate amount of colourant with Epoxy Gel and bond repair item.

Before starting, make sure your work area is protected from accidental spills. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease and oil. 2. Roughen smooth surfaces to be repaired with sandpaper. 3. Apply in ventilated area. Vapors may irritate eyes and nose. 4. Squeeze out equal amounts of bonding agent and curing agent. 5. Mix together thoroughly until color is uniform. 6. Apply immediately to both surfaces and press together. Remove excess glue at once. 7. Allow bond to set for 10 minutes before moving or handling. 8. After 24 hours, typical shear strength on steel is 3000 PSI. 9. Cure time will be slower in colder weather. For Cleanup 1. Cleanup must be completed before curing is complete. Use acetone or mineral spirits for cleanup. 2. Clean hands with Permatex Fast Orange hand cleaners. Chemical / Solvent Resistance The product retains effective properties when in contact with water, oil, fuels, and most solvents. Not recommended for long term exposure to chemicals and solvents.     PC-11® thrives in wet environments. It is resistant to water whether it is fresh or salt. Thick consistency like PC-7® and long open time (30 min). Work horizontal or vertical, indoor or outdoor. Wet, dry or under water. Whether you are working on an area where you just can’t remove water and moisture or you want the white colour for your repair, PC-11® is your choice. Choose PC-11® for ceramic repairs, pools and spas, fibreglass boats, tubs and sinks, stock tanks and thousands of other repairs. It has excellent adhesive properties bonding metals, fibreglass, wood, tile and some plastics such as ABS and rigid PVC. Ample open time allows tooling or positioning in order to tackle larger and challenging jobs. When mixed, the epoxy, part A (white) and the hardener part B (lt. blue) react to form a bond of tremendous strength and flexibility. The PC-11® formulation is slow curing, but slow can be a good thing especially for large tasks. WORKING TIME: 30 MINUTES CURE TIME: 24 HOURS (48 HOURS FOR FULL CURE) PC-11® is thick. Thick is good if you need to work vertically or want to hold an object in place. How thick? Not quite as thick as peanut butter. Here are just a few specific uses (there are hundreds of other uses): Reattach missing swimming pool tiles. Patch a hole in a fibreglass canoe or the fibreglass keel of a fishing boat. Repair cracked or damage swimming pool or hot tub skimmer. Waterproof and Seal cracked fibreglass. Seal screw holes to hatch lids or seating. Attach fish locators to transom. Repair stock tanks. Repair broken refrigerator door shelf fixtures. Repair broken pottery. Repair shower basin or antique bath tub. Seal leaking air conditioner drip pan. Seal underground conduit. How to prepare a surface for bonding with PC-11® Epoxy Paste Remove contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil, barnacles and grime with a solvent such as Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner. A mild detergent solution in water is also good removing contaminants. Use a clean paper towel or rag for wiping. Do not use Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner for removing contaminants. For a wet or underwater surface; clean contaminants as best as you can. Solvents will not help you in this situation. Remove rust and loose paint with sandpaper or wire brush. Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If there is a concern of the paint’s adhesion then remove it with sandpaper or wire brush. Smooth, glossy and shiny surfaces should be roughened using sandpaper to increase adhesion. How to clean-up after PC-11® Epoxy Paste application Use Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner to clean tools and mixing surface before PC-11® cures. Clean hands and skin with soap and water. Cured epoxy can be removed by applying Paint Remover or Paint Stripper to soften the epoxy surface. Scratch off the softened epoxy. Repeat as needed. Can PC-11® be used in Aquariums? There is the potential for PC-11® part A and part B to harm sea life but properly measured and mixed PC-11® has been used safely in fresh and saltwater aquariums. It is important that part A and B are thoroughly and completely mixed. What plastics does PC-11® stick to? PC-11® has good adhesion to Rigid PVC and CPVC, polyester and fiberglass, polyurethane, ABS and Bakelite. What plastics does PC-11® not stick to? PC-11® does not stick to polyethylene, polypropylene, HDPE, polystyrene, nylon, acrylic, Teflon, and polycarbonate. What rubbers does PC-11® stick to? PC-11® sticks to SBR, Buna, and polyurethane rubbers and does not stick to EPDM, vinyl and neoprene rubbers. What temperatures can PC-11® be applied? PC-11® cures very slowly at temperatures below 50°F (10°C). At or below freezing temperatures the PC-11® will stop curing. In hot conditions, above 95°F (35°C), PC-11® will cure rapidly reducing the working or application time. Can gel coat be applied to PC-11®? Gel coat will not cure properly in direct contact with PC-11®. It is important that repairs made with PC-11® be sealed with a suitable primer/sealer before applying a gel coat. Can PC-11® be painted? Yes. It is good practice to apply a premium stain sealing primer to repairs made with PC-11® prior to the finish coat. Will PC-11® yellow in direct sunlight? Yes, PC-11® yellows in direct sunlight. PC-11® resists ultraviolet light but will still gradually change colour. Prime and paint if the colour is important. Can PC-11® be thinned with solvent? PC-11® does not contain solvents. Acetone and denatured alcohol (ethanol) are compatible but will extend the cure time and decrease the hardness. Other solvents such as mineral spirits, paint thinner and turpentine are not compatible. PC-11® is a simple one to one mix, but how accurately does the measurement need to be? The volume of part A to part B should be close to equal. A slight excess of part A is preferable to an excess of part B. Excess of part B will not accelerate the curing and it may make it softer.

Then clean and dry all surfaces to be bonded.   Prepare Your Work Area and the Surface If you’re using Gorilla Epoxy for the first time, or bonding a new type of material, we always recommend trying a test piece first. Prepare your work area: It is recommended to use Gorilla Epoxy in a well-ventilated area. Be sure your work area is protected from spills. Gather your mixing tray and stir sticks so that all your supplies are together. Prepare the surface: To improve adhesion, roughen smooth surfaces before gluing. Then clean and dry all surfaces to be bonded.   Mixing Gorilla Epoxy Remove the black cap from the two syringes. With tip pointing upward, cut or snap the end from tip of the syringes. With the tip still pointing upward, eliminate air and ensure even dispensing by slowly pushing the plunger until both the resin and the hardener are at the tip Push the plunger to dispense even amounts of resin and hardener onto a clean, disposable, contained surface. The package itself can be used as a mixing tray. If you flip the plastic blister shell over, you can use the small well as a starter dish to begin dispensing until both the resin and hardener are flowing equally. Once the flow is even, move to the larger mixing well to dispense your even ratio. Mix the two parts for about 20 seconds, until the mixture is uniform. Apply within 5 minutes.As you mix, you will notice that the epoxy warms up. This is a reaction that occurs as the resin and hardener combine.   Application After mixing is complete, apply Gorilla Epoxy within 5 minutes. The epoxy mixture will continue to thicken and the bond strength will decrease the longer you wait to apply.   Clamping To reach maximum bond strength, clamp project together and leave undisturbed. Important Cure Times Set: 5 minutes to apply and position Handling: Allow to cure for 30 minutes undisturbed (no weight or handling) Final Cure: Allow 24 hours for load-bearing weight Storage: To close, pull plunger slightly back. If filling gaps outdoors, note that Gorilla Epoxy may yellow over time with exposure to sunlight. What is the shelf life? Are there storage tips to extend the shelf life? Shelf life for Gorilla Epoxy is a maximum of two years. The adhesive is not activated until the resin and hardener come in contact with one another, so the shelf life is likely to be much longer if the epoxy tip is wiped clean after each use and the cap is securely replaced. Make sure you notice the notch on the cap and be sure to align that with the notch on the syringe tip. This will further ensure the two parts do not accidentally mix. What is the best application temperature? For best results, apply in room temperature situations. Application in cold temperatures will slow the cure time of Gorilla Epoxy, while application in hot temperatures can speed up the cure time. Gorilla Epoxy’s cured bond withstands temperatures ranging from -23° to 82°C Do I need to use clamps with Gorilla Epoxy? How long? Clamps are recommended for use during setup to ensure the bond sets correctly. Set Time: 5 minutes to mix, apply and position Handling Time: Leave 30 minutes undisturbed (clamping is recommended) Full Cure Time: 24 hours for load-bearing weight How much Gorilla Epoxy do I apply? Gorilla Epoxy is a very strong adhesive. It does not take a lot to get a strong bond. Average coverage from our 25 mL epoxy syringe will cover 100 square inches. What can I use as a mixing tray or stir stick? A mixing tray and stir stick will be included in your Gorilla Epoxy package. Other ideas for mixing trays include aluminum foil trays, cardboard, or paper/plastic plates. Try using popsicle sticks, plastic utensils or straws for mixing. What is Gorilla Epoxy? Gorilla Epoxy is a two-part formula that requires equal parts of resin and hardener mixed together for activation. For best strength results, mix a 1-to-1 ratio of resin and hardener. Once mixed, Gorilla Epoxy is capable of bonding many materials and offers high strength results. How do I remove Gorilla Epoxy? Gorilla Epoxy is a very strong adhesive and is solvent resistant. Removing dried adhesive is difficult to do. Acetone will soften the epoxy; however, full removal will require mechanical means, such as scraping, rubbing, or sanding. Uncured Removal: Skin: Acetone, isopropyl alcohol, 2–3 washings with soap and water. Reminder: Cured glue requires mechanical means, such as rubbing or washing with exfoliating soaps. Hair: Isopropyl alcohol Clothes and Carpet: Isopropyl alcohol. For clothes and carpet, avoid acetone, soap and water, and mineral spirits, as they will not work well on fabric. What surfaces will Gorilla Epoxy bond? Gorilla Epoxy is very versatile. Gorilla Epoxy is water resistant, which means it will resist moderate exposure to water but should not be fully submerged.     3M™ Panel Bonding Adhesive (PN 08116) is a two-part epoxy designed to bond non-structural outer body sheet metal such as, but not limited to, quarter panels, roof panels, van sides, box sides and door skins Product Uses Bonding steel, aluminum, SMC and FRP (fiberglass) to themselves or each other. Use with the following applicators: PN08117 (manual), PN 09930 (pneumatic). 3M™ Mixing Nozzle, PN 08193 (6/bag), PN 08194 (50/box). For professional use only. Not intended for retail sale. The following times have been determined with ambient air temperature and substrate temperature @ 70°F and are considered typical values. WORK TIME: 90-120 minutes CLAMP TIME 6 hours CURE TIME: 24 hours SURFACE PREPARATION: 1. Wash surface with soap and water to remove water soluble contaminants. Follow the soap and water wash with an appropriate VOC compliant product for removal of surface contaminants. 2. Remove all rust, primer and paint from the areas to be bonded or welded using a Scotch-Brite™ Clean & Strip Disc or 3M grade 50 Grinding Disc. 3. Straighten all metal, and “dry-fit” the parts. 4. Clamp the part in place and check for fit and alignment. 5. Remove the panel from the vehicle. All areas to be welded should be coated with 3M™ Weld-Thru II Coating (PN 05917) according to the directions on the can. Adhesive should not be applied to these areas. PRODUCT PREPARATION: 6. Place an adhesive cartridge in the applicator gun. 7. Remove the retaining collar and plug from the end of the cartridge. Discard plug, but save the retaining collar. 8. Before attaching a nozzle, “equalize” the cartridge by dispensing just enough product to be sure that both parts A and B are present at the outlet. 9. Attach a 3M™ Static Mixing Nozzle to the cartridge and lock in place with the retaining collar. 10. Dispense a small amount of material through the mixing nozzle onto a disposable surface and discard. 11. Apply an adhesive bead to all bare metal surfaces of both pieces to be bonded. Using a plastic spreader or acid brush, tool out the adhesive to cover all bare metal surfaces. 12. Apply a 1/8" diameter adhesive bead approximately 1/4" from the inside edge of the replacement panel. • Quarter Panels: Adhesive should be applied to the lower edge, the wheel opening, the door jamb areas of the quarter, and at the factory seam of the sail panel. 3M suggests that the rear vertical portion of a quarter panel should be welded. It is acceptable to bond the rear vertical portion of a quarter panel, if recommended by the OEM. Additionally, most OEM’s only recommend full panel replacement. Should you perform a belt cut on a sail panel, 3M recommends welding the belt cut to ensure optimal cosmetic appearance. All areas to be welded should be sprayed with 3M™ Weld-Thru II (PN 05917). Do not apply adhesive to these areas. • Roof Panels: Adhesive should be applied around the perimeter of the roof anel. To replace the factory-applied NVH foam/spacer between the roof bow and the roof panel, use one of the following: 3M™ Urethane Seam Sealer (PN 08360, PN 08361 or PN 08364), 3M™ MSP Seam Sealer (PN 08369 or PN 08370), or 3M™ NVH Dampening Material (PN 04274) to the roof bows as needed. • Door Skins: Adhesive should be applied to the hem flange area. To replace the factory-applied NVH foam/spacer between the intrusion beam/s and the door skin, use one of the following: 3M™ Urethane Seam Sealer (PN 08360, PN08361 or PN 08364), 3M™ MSP Seam Sealer (PN 08369 or PN 08370), or 3M™ NVH Dampening Material (PN 04274) to the intrusion beam/s as needed. 13. Clamp the panel in its proper position. 14. Tool any adhesive “squeeze out” to seal the outside of the seam all along the bonded edge of the panel. • Caution: The adhesive is combustible. Keep any MIG welding a minimum of two inches from the adhesive. As with any welding operation, keep the appropriate fire extinguisher within reach, and be alert to any smoke or flame that may be present. Resistance spot welding through uncured adhesive is acceptable. 15. Spray the inside of quarter panels, interior cavities, and any welded seams with 3M™ Rust Fighter-I (PN 08891 or PN 08892). 16. Clamps may be removed after six hours at 73°F. Parts will need to remain clamped longer if the temperature is below 73°F and/or if there is any tension on the part. The cure time may be accelerated by applying heat with a heat gun or lamps. 17. Allow 24 hours at a minimum of 73°F before returning vehicle to service. CLEAN-UP: Unmixed material may be cleaned from most surfaces with an appropriate VOC compliant product.  Storage and Handling When stored at the recommended conditions in original, unopened containers, this product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture. Store at room temperature. Rotate stock on a “first-in-first-out” basis. After use, leave the mix nozzle in place to seal the cartridge.
